Day Wise Itinerary
Day 01 : Arrival Madurai - and drive to Rameshwaram ( Approx 600 Kms , 12 Hrs )
  • Meeting & Assistance upon arraival in Madurai.
  • Later, proceed to visit Meenakshi Temple

Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the most famous temples in South India. Marvel at its towering gopurams (gateways), intricate carvings, and vibrant sculptures that depict various mythological stories. Take a leisurely stroll around the temple complex, soaking in the spiritual ambiance and witnessing the evening rituals.

  • Later, drive to Rameshwaram and check into the hotel.

Rameshwaram is a religious town situated in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. Rameshwaram Temple is one of the most famous Shiva shrines in India. It is significant for Hindus as a pilgrimage to Banaras is incomplete without a Pilgrimage to Rameswaram. According to the legend, Rameswaram is the place from where Lord Rama, built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita from Ravana. This is also the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of killing Ravana. Both the Vaishnavites and Shaivites visit this pilgrimage which is known as the Varanasi of South. Rameswaram along with Dwarka, Puri and Badrinath form the four Char Dhams.

Day 02 : Rameshwaram Local sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed to visit

Pamban Bridge Annai Indira Gandhi Bridge or Pamban Bridge connects the town of Mandapam in mainland India with Pamban Island, and Rameswaram. Opened for traffic in 1914, it is the longest sea bridge in India (2.2 km) until the opening of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in 2010. The construction of this bridge has left many engineers wondering as it stands tall and strong even today. The ships too can pass under the bridge and hence it is most convenient means of commutation

Ramanatha Swamy Temple the magnificent Ramanathaswamy Temple is a Hindu temple situated in the sacred town of Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu. Popularly called as Rameshwaram Temple. Rameshwaram Temple is dedicated to Lord Siva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas situated in different parts of India. It is among the prime places to visit in Rameshwaram. The temple is one of the holiest Hindu Char Dham sites comprising Badrinath, Puri, Dwarka, and Rameshwaram

Agni Theertham Agnitheertham is said to be the place where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to wash off his sins of killing Ravana.It is a sacred place and piligrims believe that taking a bath in Bay of Bengal at Agniteertham will washout one's sins of life time. It is visited by the followers of Lord Shiva as well as Vishnu, whose incarnation was lord Rama. The sea here is very calm and ideal for bathing.

Day 03 : Rameshwaram - Kanyakumari ( Approx 300 Kms, 5 Hrs)
After breakfast , drive to Kanyakumari enroute visiting

Dhanuskodi Dhanushkodi is an abandoned town at the south-eastern tip of Pamban Island of the state of Tamil Nadu in India. It is south-east of Pamban and is about 24 kilometres west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka. The town was destroyed during the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone and remains uninhabited in the aftermath.

Five faced Hanuman Temple has mythological evidence where Hanuman showed his profile with five faces. The idols of Lord Ram, Sita and Hanuman, which are brought from Dhanushkodi during the cyclone of 1964, are kept here. The 'floating stones', which were used to build the Sethu Bandhanam (bridge) in Ramayana, are also kept in the temple.
There is floating stone outside the temple which was used to create the bridge on the sea as prescribed by our Indian mythology.

Kanyakumari is a popular tourist place and a place of great natural beauty. The city gets its name from the Hindu goddess Kanyakumari who was also known as Kumari Amman. Swami Vivekananda is said to have been lived here for a while and meditated. It is situated at the confluence of Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean. This place offers marvelous Sunset and Sunrise views. It is the only place in India where one can enjoy the unique spectacle of Sunset and Moonrise simultaneously on full moon days

Day 04 : Kanyakumari to Kovalam
After breakfast, proceed on a sightseeing of Kanyakumari

Vivekananda Rock Memorial was built in 1970 in honor of Swami Vivekananda on one of the two adjacent rocks projecting out of the Lakshadweep Sea. This is the site where Vivekananda attained enlightenment. Below the statue was mentioned the year of death of Swamiji and the 'probable' dates when Swamiji attained Samadhi on the rock. Vivekananda's Rock also holds religious significance to the locals. It is believed that Goddess Devi Kumari blessed the rock while performing austerity.

Thiruvalluvar Statue is dedicated to the greatest Tamil poet, philosopher and saint - Thiruvalluvar. The pedestal of the statue is of 38 feet height and the statue over it is 95 feet tall with a grand total of 133 feet for the entire sculpture. The 3 tier pedestal known as Atharapeedam is surrounded by an artistic Mandapa with 38 feet height. To help the tourists to worship the holy feet of Thiruvalluvar 140 steps are constructed inside the Mandapa.

Kumari Amman Temple is an ancient temple situated in Kanyakumari, Tamilnadu - The temple is dedicated to Devi Kanya Kumari, an adolescent girl child form of Goddess Parvati. The diety is also known as Shree Baala Bhadra or Shree Baala. Kanyakumari Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethams. It is believed that the right shoulder and (back) spine area of Sati's corpse fell here creating the presence of kundalini Sakthi in the region. Sage Parashurama is said to have performed the consecration of the temple.
Suchindram is a holy place located on the bank of the river Pazhayar in Tamilnadu. Situated on Trivandrum - Kanyakumari road, it is known for the Thanumalayan Temple dedicated to Sri Sthanumalayan. The Thanumalayan Temple is of importance to both Shaivaite and Vaishnavite sects of Hinduism, as the name Stanumalaya denotes Trimurtis; 'Stanu' means Siva; 'Mal' means Vishnu; and the 'Ayan' means Brahma.

Day 05 : Kovalam – Trivandrum Drop
After breakfast, drive to Trivandrum and drop at the Airport as per the departure schedule.
