Day Wise Itinerary
Day 01
This morning arrival (Arrival Must Be Before 7/8am) at Haridwar/Dehardun & depart for Barkot, located on the foot of Yamunotri. On arrival at Barkot, check-in to your hotel/camp. Rest of the day is free to relax and store your energy for the Pahad (hiII) Yatra of Yamunotri the next day. Dinner and Overnight stay at Barkot. Rishikesh - Barkot (200kms/7 hrs) Welcome to the Char Dham Yatra tour! You will be greeted by our representative on arrival.after breakfast proceed for Sightseeing which covers Sivananda Ashram, Ram Jhoola, Swarg Ashram, Geeta Ashram, Laxman Jhoola. After lunch proceed to Barkot, via Dehradun & Mussoorie. En-route visit Kempty Fall and enjoy the beauty of Himalayas, (route may be changed as per road condition & traffic) later drive straight to Barkot for night stay.
Day 02
Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot (45 Kms road/ 6 kms Trek, each side) Drive to Jankichatti, trek starts from here to Yamunotri (6kms). On arrival leave the vehicle and start to ascend on the trek route either by walk or pony/doli (at own cost). On arrival at Yamunotri, purchase Prasad from local small shops, then proceed to a holy dip in a natural hot water spring or in river Yamuna (icy cold water). One can cook rice in “Surya Kund” (hot water spring), dipping in a muslin cloth and take cooked rice home as "Prasadam". Pooja can be offered to mythological “Divya Shila”. Take blessings of Mata Yamuna and trek down to Jankichatti. Later drive back to Barkot for a night stay.
After breakfast/packed breakfast, depart at 5/6am for Hanumanchatti (40 Km), Janki Chatti (5 km). Here you will begin the First Pahad Yatra of Yamunotri (5 Km trek). You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (Cost Not Included). The trek passes through lush green valley, a profusion of conifers, rhododendrons, cacti and several species of Himalayan shrubs. Yamunotri (altitude 3,291 m), the western most shrine of the Char Dhams, is dominated by Banderpunch (6,361 m). Yamunotri is the source of the river Yamuna, the twin sister of Varna, the Lord of Death. Yamuna is also the daughter of Surya the Sun. The actual source of the river originates from Champasar Glacier 1 km a head of the shrine, at an altitude of 4,321 mts. On arrival by afternoon in Yamunotri take holy dip in Yamuna River and perform Pooja, and take the same route back to Barkot, check in at Hotel / Camp. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel in Barkot.
Day 03
After breakfast check out from the Barkot hotel and drive to Uttarkashi. On arrival check in into the hotel. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi and is famous for its historical monuments, Temples & Ashrams. Dinner and Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Barkot - Uttarkashi (90kms/4hrs) Morning depart to Uttarkashi, on arrival check in at the hotel, later visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple at Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04
Early After breakfast/packed breakfast and drive to Gangotri. Nestled in the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas, Gangotri is set at an altitude of 3048 mts. Upon arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin Visit the Gangotri Temple. The 18th century's temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite. After performing Pooja Late afternoon drive back to Uttarkashi. Dinner & Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100kms/4hrs, each side) Morning proceeds to Gangotri (3048 mts), en-route enjoy the drive parallel to Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. On arrival Gangotri has a holy dip in river Bhagirathi (icy cold water). Perform Pooja and Hindu rites at the bank of river. Then proceed to darshan, of Mata Ganga, Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Vinayka and BhagirathMaharaj, have blessings and return back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi
Day 05
After early morning breakfast check out from the hotel and drive for Guptkashi. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the Guptkashi town. Dinner and Overnight stay in Guptkashi hotel/Camps.
Uttarkashi -Sitapur (280kms/ 12 hrs) Early morning drive to Sitapur, on arrival check into hotel, Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06
Sitapur - Kedarnath - Sitapur (19 kms Trek/6 Hrs. each side) Early morning drop to Sonprayag (for trek route) trek starts from here to Kedarnath. Start to ascend on a trek route either by walk or pony/doli (at own cost). Helicopter service is also available for Kedarnath, so one can take a helicopter to Kedarnath(at own cost). Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes. After performing Pooja & Darshan of Shri Kedarnath ji return to Sitapur. Overnight stay at Hotel
Early morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Sonprayag. From where, you will start your 20 km trek to Kedarnath. You can hire a Doli or a horse, for your trek (Cost Not Included). Mandakini, one of the main tributaries of the Ganges originates at Kedarnath and flows through Gaurikund. Trudging with you are pilgrims chanting "Jai Bholenath." Sometimes the mist would envelop the mountains and slowly lift away, revealing a shiny blinding-white peak that threatens to rupture the skies. On arrival check in at Govt. Camps/Lodges. Dinner and Overnight at Govt. Camps/Lodges (only basic accommodation is available on sharing basis with only room basis, you can take meal directly).
Day 07
Early morning you get up before dawn and after taking bath you are at the temple by 4:45 am for the 'Abhishek' to Kedarnath Shiva. Everyone can go inside Garbha Griha and touch the idol. You can also prostrate with your head touching the deity etc. After darshan and puja you come out of the temple and return to the Govt. Camps / Lodges. Later you'll start the return trek of 20 km from Kedarnath to Sonprayag. The vehicles wait for you in Sonprayag Car Parking and you'll drive to your hotel/Camps. Dinner and Overnight at Guptkashi.
Sitapur - Pipalkoti (120 kms / 6 Hrs) Morning at leisure, today depart in the afternoon (around 12:00 hrs noon) to Pipalkoti, on arrival check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel
Day 08
Pipalkoti - Joshimath - Badrinath (80kms/4 hrs) Morning drive to Badrinath en-route visit Joshimath (Narshimha Temple) & Vishnu Prayag later drive to Badrinath & visit Mana Village (India's last village towards Indo-Tibetan border)which includes Vyasa Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhimpul, Saraswati river etc. thereafter check into hotel & free to explore the Badri Valley & visit Badrinath temple after a holy dip in Taptkund. Proceed through the colorful entrance of the temple have Darshan of Badrivishal along with Ganesh, Kubera, Garuda, Narada, Udhhav, Nar & Narayan. Also see another small temples inside the temple compound i.e. Laxmimata, Nar-Narayana, Hanuman, Ghantakarn and Kaamdhenu. One can get 'Charnamirt' (abhishekamjal) inside the compound. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddam Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus), one can perform rite here
This morning, you check out of the hotel and drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. After driving through some wonderful Ghat road you arrive at Badrinath (Must cross Govindghat before 5:30 pm). On arrival check into the hotel. After some rest and refreshments you are all set to go to Badrinath Temple for darshan in the evening. But first you have to go to Tapt Kund (Hot Spring), take bath and then go to the temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple of Shri Badrinath Ji is 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Later back to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09
This morning, go for Badrinath darshan. After darshan return back to hotel, breakfast at hotel and proceed for Badrinath local sightseeing visit Mana Village and Bheem Pul. Afternoon driver back to Rudraprayag via Karanprayag. Rudraprayag is a small pilgrim town on the holy confluence of river Alaknanda and Mandakini. On arrival check in at hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the Rudraprayag town. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.
Badrinath - Srinagar (185 Kms/7hrs) Morning after breakfast transfer to Srinagar, en-route visit Karanprayag, Nandprayag, Rudraprayag & Dhari Devi temple. On arrival check in at hotel, overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10
Srinagar - Haridwar (130 Kms/5hrs) Morning after breakfast drive to Haridwar, en-route visit Devprayag the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi. Here onwards downstream the river is called Ganges, later transfer to Haridwar. Tour ends here with happy memories to be cherished forever. Early morning, after breakfast, you drive downhill to Rishikesh a spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. On reaching Rishikesh you'll do the Rishikesh sightseeing visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. Evening drive to Haridwar and drop in Haridwar Railway Station/Airport after 4pm.
